This DTC brand is changing pet wellness with a vet-approved, science-backed drink that boosts dogs’ nutrition and keeps tails wagging. With flavors dogs love, it’s all about making every moment together healthier and happier—one bottle at a time.
As the Creative Director for this project, my goal was to design an eCommerce experience that truly captured the heart of this brand’s mission: revolutionizing pet wellness. I wanted the site to feel approachable, engaging, and tailored to pet owners who want the best for their dogs. From crafting a clean, user-friendly layout to showcasing the science-backed, vet-approved product in a way that resonates emotionally, every element was designed with intention. My focus was on creating a seamless shopping experience that not only highlights the product’s benefits but also connects with the joy and bond between dogs and their owners.
As the lead Creative Director and UX Designer for VK9.com, I developed a comprehensive strategy to deliver a seamless eCommerce experience on Shopify. I collaborated closely with development and cross-functional teams to ensure the project aligned with business goals, user needs, and sustainability messaging. This included integrating a subscription-based model, presenting educational content on product features and benefits, and crafting a compelling story around VK9’s science-backed credibility and commitment to sustainability.
I led the end-to-end design process, creating a user-friendly and visually engaging site that communicated VK9’s mission and product value. This included designing custom iconography and new assets to enhance the brand guidelines, along with crafting layouts that highlighted key educational content and sustainability initiatives. The site was optimized to build trust through science-backed claims and clear, actionable storytelling.
I successfully managed the project under tight constraints, delivering a fully functional eCommerce site within six weeks. By prioritizing deliverables, streamlining workflows, and addressing additional content needs within the limited scope, I ensured the project remained on track without sacrificing quality.
The site was designed to engage users by making product features, benefits, and sustainability commitments easy to understand and navigate. Clear pathways for subscriptions and product use education were incorporated to enhance retention and drive user satisfaction. These efforts positioned VK9 as a trusted brand for pet wellness.
The project presented several challenges, including the need to design and launch a fully functional eCommerce site on Shopify within a tight six-week timeline. Additional content creation was required to support the brand story and educational objectives, all within a limited project scope. Balancing the communication of VK9’s credibility—through science-backed claims and sustainability commitments—with a compelling visual and user experience added complexity. Despite these constraints, the focus remained on delivering a seamless and engaging platform that aligned with the brand’s mission and goals.
This project demonstrates my ability to lead UX design and creative direction under tight timelines while delivering impactful, user-centered solutions that align with brand values and business goals.
